What happened in the POS communication market during the pandemic crisis and why we are now stronger and more efficient.
To make a big difference in a functional society at a time of pandemic storm that shook both society and the market, you must have a vision. You have to have courage. You have to focus on the opportunities and then start to make your way like a carnivorous fish up the river. You must not be discouraged by the scepticism and frustration of the others, or by partial failures, and you must move on. Somehow, a little abstractly, we could describe what was behind the DAGO transformation that has taken place over the last two years.
Impact of the coronavirus on retail industry
The pandemic hit the whole business and marketing industry hard, companies stopped investing heavily in below-the-line advertising, although people (after the initial shock subsided) did not stop shopping. And those who didn´t twiddle their thumbs could make full use of time and space to make their brands visible.
Most in-store campaigns are being created extremely fast today with a short-time character and that’s why the production of POS materials is being realised from cardboard (even more than in previous years), which is developing creatively, its service life is longer, with higher-quality printing and technologically enables (often in combination with other materials and original accessories) modern and excellent realizations in terms of aesthetics and functionality.
Crises create opportunity
We took the crisis in society and business as an opportunity to review the internal functioning of processes and human potential. And the changes were definitely not just “cosmetic.” We built a completely new production department, and equipped it with new IT tools to manage production more efficiently. This resulted in a smoother operation of the sales team as well as better targeted work by technologists. We have improved the project management system. Calculations are much faster now and putting orders into manufacturing and production has become more efficient.
We hired new employees for all departments and several people within the company moved to other positions that “fit” them better. We focus even more on creativity; we do not want to offer clients the opportunity to just catch up with their competition, but through their display to support the uniqueness and individuality of the brand or campaign. Last but not least, we have invested heavily in the production itself, especially in the purchase of state-of-the-art printing machines and cutting plotters. Our production is not only super fast and high quality, but above all ecological and sustainable; for example – we supply cardboard with an FSC certificate.
NEW EDGE POS KOMUNIKACE
All this is behind the idea of ”NEW EDGE POS COMMUNICATION”. New environments, needs and approaches in the post pandemic reality as well as changes of ourselves, the main dominants of which are top level creativity, speed, efficiency and reliability of our production and all-in one full service. These changes have prepared us for new challenges in the sales areas of stores and in the development of POS materials for our clients. In order to be able to meet this even in the next demanding years, we will still work on precision with a sense of detail and functioning like the famous wheels in a watch movement. We want to be the best partner that will support and enrich the client in the world of retail, at any time.
