Sales promo in hobby markets

There is no doubt that POS can be adapted also to products out of the traditional FMCG – after all, we see the support for telco, automotive or financial services. But how to present attractively drills, saws, grinders and other hobby products? Company “Robert Bosh odbytová” comes with a novelty in Hornbach.
We helped to the company ROBERT BOSCH ODBYTOVÁ s.r.o. to develope a new type of promo table for hobby markets. In DIY stores, it is not usual yet to use or present individually sold products – drills, grinders, saws, etc. While promo tables and promo actions in classical hypermarkets, as Tesco or Interspar, are common, we do not see them very often in this segment.
In the year 2010, we saw a shift in promo presentations in the section of electro. The company Samsung came with a presentation of novelties – telephones. It presented a set of displays with the possibility to test these products in shopping centres, often in front of Electroworld markets. This project was very successful and passers-by, without the necessity to urge them, tested mobile novelties, their added value, presented functions and new applications. The whole project was supported by a promoter that was able to react promptly to questions of particular prospective buyers. Bosh comes with a portable demonstration unit, which will be displayed in hobby markets during whole year 2012. Display with the Bosh sign will be accompanied by an instructed promoter, who will demonstrate and explain benefits of promoted products. One of the benefits will be the chance to test such product in action just on the spot by shoppers!
