Celebrate Christmas with a unique Pilsner Urquell activation

Festive dress, potato salad, fried carp and something good to drink. This is what a classic Christmas Eve dinner looks like in many Czech households. Premium beer is an essential part of Christmas, just like Christmas sweets. This is also why the Pilsner Urquell brand...

Fanta drinks are betting on Halloween

The crisis helps us to transform

It seems that the subject matter of the current crisis will not leave us soon. We hear about it from all sides, and instead of focusing mainly on work, we constantly think about what will happen. In Dago, we decided to approach this crisis positively and proactively. We have carried out a restructuring, whose most visible elements are increasing the efficiency of multi-shift operation and finding opportunities for people with potential within our staff.

We want to give opportunities to young, enthusiastic people with a desire to work. We want them to realize their potential. That is why we offered them a higher position, managing their team and/or working in another department. For example, one of our technologists began participating in the management of our plastics production thanks to a well-planned relocation.

Another example of such restructuring is one of the production managers. She created a new team in the production department, arranged new order management rules, and, together with traders, created innovative communication processes. We approach these changes with a very simple slogan: “Everyone who wants to do something has a chance to do it now!”

They are not motivated just with finances. We have abandoned the usual and inefficient method of remuneration derived purely from hours worked. Newly, the remuneration for all positions is more based on the work results and the employee’s share in the joint successes in which he participates.

We have improved the project management system. Calculations are much faster now and placing orders for production and production itself has become more efficient. All departments have expanded, including technology, graphics, production, and sales department. We have hired eleven new managers and we are looking for about ten more.

We have completely restructured the production department. We have prepared new applications for them in our information systems, which coordinate all internal and external orders, dividing them according to material, completion date, a client (retailer), processing speed, and other parameters. We have integrated control into the applications through a Gaussian diagram.

And we try to maintain a positive attitude. We more often recall that when a person enjoys working, his work goes well. We replaced the usual routines with new ones and brought fresh wind to our work team. Although this rapid transformation was not easy at all under the weight of the surrounding events, we are looking forward to new projects and upcoming challenges.

People tend to see only negatives in this not very favorable situation. In Dago, we have chosen the opposite attitude. We are pleased to say that if the crisis with the associated decrease of sales did not happen, we would not be so motivated to accept changes and do the restructuring. We see problems in “disguised opportunities”.

The number of orders is currently rising. We receive more and more every day. We offer our customers innovative solutions and original POS implementations, with which our innovative teams spend thorough time in maximum work commitment. We are ready for the last period of this year, as well as for the next season, ready, motivated, and in full force. And we thank the crisis, all our clients, colleagues, and other partners for that.
